Am 12. März 2019 startete das Organisationskomitee der Sommerspiele TOKYO 2020 eine Promotionstour durch die Hauptstadt Tokio und jene von Katastrophen betroffenen Gebiete in den Präfekturen Iwate, Miyagi und Fukushima – genau 500 Tage vor dem geplanten Beginn der Olympischen Sommerspiele 2020.
During the 500 Days to Go countdown period from 12 – 30 March, the ‘500 Days’ Tokyo 2020 Caravan bus will tour various areas in Tokyo and the three disaster-affected areas of Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures.
Es war kein Zufall, dass an diesem 12.März auch Japans Post mit einer ersten Markenserie aufwartete. Sowohl die Serie als auch die Bustour sind auf die Olympischen und die Paralympischen Spiele abgestimmt.
It was no coincidence that on March 12, Japan’s post office also launched a first series of stamps. The bustour and the stamps are advertising the Olympic and the Paralympic Games.
Die Serie besteht aus sechs Werten im Markenbogen, von denen hier vier mit den beiden Ersttagstempeln von Tokio abgebldet werden.
